libdv4-dev software package provides software library for DV format digital video (devel files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdv4-dev
libdv4-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdv4-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdv4-dev *
You will get with libdv4-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
